The What and Why of Canvas Tools (reserve a space)
There are a variety of tools available within each Canvas course space. In this session, we will work through each of the tools, explore their use and discuss strategies for using these in your Canvas course.
Canvas Strategy Session (reserve a space)
Each course space effectively starts as a blank canvas. In this workshop, we will talk about how to get started with implementing your course in Canvas. The workshop will be tailored to the participants – we will discuss the variety of options available to instructors, along with tips and tricks for implementation.

Should you use a quiz or an assignment? Would a graded discussion work? What if you want to drop an assignment or two? This workshop will cover the basics for conducting assessments. We will create sample assessments and explore the automatic functionality of Canvas.

In this session, you will have access to sample course spaces. You’ll get to see a variety of organizational strategies, assessments, and content distribution options. If you’re interested in seeing how others at UCI and beyond have used Canvas for their course, this session is for you!
i>clickers in EEE Canvas (reserve a space)
Are you using both i>clickers and EEE Canvas? We have some good news for you! The two tools can be connected, so that students will register i>clicker devices within EEE Canvas, and you can sync scores directly to your EEE Canvas gradebook.
In this session, Judi and Caryn will show you how to get i>clickers set-up in EEE Canvas, we’ll demo the student registration process, then we’ll show you how the grades are sync’d to EEE Canvas.

You might be enrolled in a course that is using EEE Canvas for the electronic space. Not only does Canvas look different, but it has a variety of new and enhanced functionality. In this session, you’ll learn how to submit assignments, participate in discussions, access course materials, see your grades, and configure your profile! We can also address specific questions, including how to configure your mobile device.
