What’s happening to EEE Quiz?
EEE Canvas provides a quiz tool which is more robust than the EEE Quiz tool. EEE Quiz will be retired. Instructors can export a quiz template from EEE Quiz and import it into an EEE Canvas course space – learn more about transferring quizzes.
For non-class users, the Google Forms Quiz feature is a great alternative to EEE Quiz.
When will EEE Quiz be retired?
EEE Quiz will be retired after Fall 2018 and we encourage all EEE Quiz users to switch to the more robust and reliable EEE Canvas quiz tool or the Google Forms Quiz tool.
What should I use instead?
The EEE Quiz tool addresses a wide variety of needs, including classes for large quizzes, online final exams, and smaller non-graded quizzes for measuring student learning progress in classes. The EEE Canvas Quiz tool accommodates these needs.
EEE Canvas Quiz tool
The Quiz tool integrates nicely with the Gradebook feature in the Canvas Course Spaces; assignment scores are automatically recorded. The Quiz tool also provides a variety of statistics to help instructors see how their class performed on the quiz.
Google Forms Quizzes
The Quiz feature in Google Forms is a great way to conduct non-class quizzes.
Instructure, the company that creates and maintains Canvas, is currently working on a completely new version of the quiz tool. This tool, currently named “Quiz.Next”, does not have an ETA. We will keep the campus updated as more information about this new quiz tool becomes available.
