What’s happening to EEE class email lists & ClassMail Manager?
The future of EEE class email lists, including the EEE ClassMail Manager tool, has yet to be determined, but it will most likely include a combination of transitioning to the various communication tools provided by Canvas, as well as custom developed replacements for components of the service that Canvas does not include.
We’re not sure yet if class email lists will be retired. They are the most frequently used tool on EEE, and many instructors have come to rely on the ease of use provided by having a simple email address for each course.
Canvas also offers a variety of communication mechanisms, with the ability for users to customize how they receive those messages (email, text, etc.).
When will EEE class email lists and ClassMail Manager be retired?
The future of EEE class email lists and the timing of any changes are not yet finalized. Any decisions will be thoughtful, incorporate campus feedback, and be broadly announced.
