Dr. Matt Dunn was born and raised in Arizona. He received his B.S. in Genetics, Cell & Developmental Biology from Arizona State University in 2010, conducting undergraduate research at the Center for Biosignature Discovery Automation with Dr. Cody Youngbull and developing a microfluidic vortex device for tomographic imaging of live, single cells. Matt joined the Chaput lab in 2011 as a graduate student and continued as a postdoctoral fellow in 2015. His research interests include polymerase engineering and in vitro selection of threose nucleotide acid polymers. During his free time, he enjoys cycling, rock climbing, cooking, and reading. In November 2016, Matt departed from the lab to enter industry, where he intends to continue protein expression and purification for a start-up company in Boston, Massachusetts. [/ezcol_3quarter_end]
