UReCA, the undergraduate Web journal of undergraduate research and creative activity is now accepting applications for positions of Associate Editors. The deadline has been extended to February 28, 2017. We have ten slots to fill and would love to have a diverse representation of students from NCHC Honors Programs and Colleges across the United States. Version 1.0 of the Web site is complete and debuted at the NCHC Conference this October in Seattle:
What We Are Looking For
Undergraduate students from NCHC-sponsored programs with a keen interest in the selection and acquisition of articles, creative works, art, and videos, and editing (scientific as well as creative works) manuscripts that have been selected for publication. Prior editing experience is a plus.
The selection of editors for UReCA is a competitive process and applications (a single Word file or pdf) should consist of the following: 1) resume, 2) statement of interest (1-page), and 3) one letter of support from the Honors director/dean at the student’s college. The deadline for application is February 28, 2017. All applications will be processed through our submissions site found here:
https://ureca.submittable.com/submit
Serving as an editor with UReCA includes a three-day summer editing boot camp and participation at national and regional NCHC conferences. Your sponsoring college should commit to funding your attendance at the conferences, but UReCA will fund the boot camp. This year’s summer event will take place in scenic Bryce Canyon, Utah. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
