WHAT:
Calling all Sci-Fi fanatics! Do you ever watch Sci-Fi or Superhero movies and think to yourself, “I wonder if that could actually happen in real life?” Join us for “Science of… the Marvel Movies,” where we discuss how science fiction works by looking at the science. Each event will showcase a list of science technology to discuss. But don’t worry, there is always room for questions from the audience.
Brought to you by the creators of the popular podcast Fascinating Gadgets, Gizmos and Gear Based Technologies (www.fgggbt.com) and the webseries Fascinating Fights (www.fascinatingfights.com), Science of the Marvel Movies will include in-depth analysis to predict how items, actions and events in superhero movies could actually play out in the real world.
The Sci-Fi experts are coming to UCI and you can be in the live audience! Come see UCI professor, Dr. Michael Dennin and try to stump him with your obscure sci-fi questions.

Enjoy exciting and fascinating debates around the technology seen in the Marvel Movies, and learn about how characters of Black Panther and superheroes from Avengers Infinity Wars would fair in the real word. Watch as Professor Dennin and The Analytical Mastermind Daniel J. Glenn give their play by play on how the movie epic battles translate to real science. The event will include pizza and drinks, so consider it your dinner entertainment! Also, you will have a chance to stump Professor Dennin with questions about your favorite superheroes and Sci Fi movies!
