Location: Ring Road, in front of Student Center & Starbucks

Make your visit to our fair a success! Follow these four easy steps:

1. CHECK-IN at our info booth and be entered to WIN the GRAND PRIZE!!

2. VISIT at least three (3) info booths during the fair and receive a FREE GIFT.

3. COMPARE programs using our Program Comparison Worksheet to choose the program that’s right for you.

4. APPLY to study abroad! Submit your pre-app to the Study Abroad Center.


UROP Fall 2017 Call for Proposals

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) has announced their Fall Call for Proposals. UCI undergraduates from all disciplines who are conducting research projects or creative activities under the guidance of UCI faculty are encouraged to apply. Click here to view the UROP Proposal Guidelines.

Complete proposals must be submitted online at the UROP Web site by Monday, November 13, 2017.

Students conducting research in the areas of Women’s Empowerment and Computer Gaming will receive special consideration if submitted under the special call for proposals (same due date).

Students are encouraged to attend a UROP Proposal Writing Workshop on Wednesday, November 1, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the Calit2 Building, Auditorium.

Student Roundtable: “An Invisible Minority: Asian American and Pacific Islander Women at the 1977 National Women’s Conference”

Forty years ago, Houston hosted the 1977 International Year of Women/National
Women’s Conference. Inspired by the 1975 United Nations Conference in Mexico City,
the NWC attracted 20,000 attendees, including 2,000 delegates from the fifty states and
six territories, to create a national women’s agenda. Please join us to learn about the
Asian American and Pacific Islander women who participated in this historic event.

Free Tickets to Compassion Concert

With ongoing turbulence and struggles around the world, the Compassion Concert offers an opportunity to enjoy an evening of the arts in an intimate setting. Singer-songwriter Perla Batalla will perform Perla Batalla in the House of Cohen, a tribute to her friend and mentor Leonard Cohen. The Concert will also showcase the most recent work of the Blum Center.

Artmaking Workshop with Trinh Mai

Come and make your own mixed-media art work with artist Trinh Mai! With the focus on memory and family, please bring a photo that evokes memories for you to turn into a work of art. This hands-on workshop is the culmination of CHP’s yearlong series with Trinh Mai, who has visited the CHP Honors Seminar on the Vietnam War and hosted CHPers at her studio. She is the artist in residence at Grand Central Art Gallery and formerly of the Vietnamese American Oral History Project at UCI.

Workshop is on Tuesday, May 23rd from noon to 2:00 p.m. in the OC & SEAA Center (Libraries Gateway Study Center, ground floor).
