Are you looking to study abroad or go to grad school and were considering applying for a scholarship? Come to the Scholarship Opportunities Program Big 6 Scholarship Workshops to find out how you could win the Rhodes, Gates Cambridge, Churchill, Marshall, Mitchell, or Fulbright scholarship!
WHO: Top students in the Class of ‘08 or ’09 who are interested in graduate study at elite universities overseas.
WHAT: A workshop about applying for the Fulbright, Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell, Churchill, and Gates scholarships
WHEN: Monday, March 10 from 2-3 PM and Thursday, Mar 13 from 4-5 PM
WHERE: Room 1010 AB, Student Services II building
WHY: Learn how to become a successful candidate!
You’re receiving this email from UCI’s Scholarship Opportunity Program because we think you may be a good candidate for one (or more) of these scholarships. All of the above scholarships reward well-rounded academic achievers who have leadership and community service experience and ideas for overseas research or study. Winners study at Oxford (Rhodes), Cambridge (Gates), throughout the UK (Marshall), anywhere in Ireland (Mitchell), or in any of 140 countries on 6 continents (Fulbright).
Our office runs the campus-level evaluations for these scholarships and will guide you through the process. This workshop will acquaint you with the application process, most of which will take place this summer. In addition to attending the workshop, you can begin the application process by submitting the 2-page Pre-Application (under “Scholarship Forms” at http://www.scholars.uci.edu/), due May 1 in the SOP office. There is no limit to the number of applications that may be endorsed, so students are not competing with each other. We encourage all talented students who have well-defined study/research plans to apply.
For more information on these scholarships, visit the SOP website or email us. We can help you find the scholarship that fits your needs.
We hope to see at one of our sessions! You do not need to RSVP for this workshop.
