2009 ArtsBridge America Conference Gallery
The Center for Learning through the Arts and Technology hosted the 2009 ArtsBridge America Conference at UC Irvine on April 24-26, 2009. The event consisted of conference meetings for administrators and a two-day training workshop for pre-service teaching artists. The inaugural ArtsBridge Scholar Retreat provided training sessions with master teachers in dance, music, theatre, and visual art, and was open to pre-service teaching artists from all campuses in the ArtsBridge America network.
The ArtsBridge Scholar Retreat offered training sessions, networking opportunities and professional development for ArtsBridge scholars and scholar candidates. Teaching artists participated in workshops in five arts-based projects: Mapping the Beat/Mapping the Arts (multi-disciplinary, grades 4-8); ArtsCore K-2 Teaching Artist Project (dance and theatre, grades K-2); World Dance Project (dance, grades 4-12); Spiraled Learning Project (visual art, grades 2-12); Reading In Motion (music and drama, grade K).
