On June 12th, faculty and staff from the School of Education and from UC Irvine gathered to express their appreciation to Cheryl Craft for her 20 years of service to the School and to the university.

Speaking on behalf of the School, Dean Deborah Lowe Vandell highlighted the crucial functions Ms. Craft has fulfilled: hiring and promotions of staff and faculty as Academic Personnel Manager, management of the department as Chief Administrative Officer, and support for the Dean, which engaged Ms. Craft’s writing talents, counseling skill, and history knowledge of school and university policy and operations.

Dean Vandell described Ms. Craft as “warm, caring, unflappable, and able to handle multiple competing demands with grace – the heart of the School.”
