In just a few days, you will be on campus for Graduate Welcome and Orientation. You may have started to think about all of the writing and reading you will have to do as a graduate student. There are some great resources that you should know ahead of time that can have a great impact on your writing. Here is some information regarding Academic English, GRC Writing Tutors, UCI Libraries, and English Conversation Groups.
Graduate Student Academic English
Academic English offers classes in academic writing, reading and vocabulary development, pronunciation, conversation, and grammar. Courses are designed to strengthen students’ English skills so that they can complete the academic requirements of UCI successfully. They also provide international graduate students who plan to become teaching assistants with an assessment program and support tutorials.
