Coming Soon: New System to Request Educational Technology Support

Next week, the Division of Educational Technology will launch ServiceNow which will replace the “iMedEd Service Request Form” to manage incoming requests for technology support at the Office of Medical Education (Med Ed). ServiceNow is a system that manages technology service requests and the reporting of technology incidents. It is the system currently used by UC Irvine Health Information Services to request and track IT support at the UCI Medical Center and beyond.

The Med Ed ServiceNow system will focus on technology support related to curricular activities and the faculty/staff/students who impact medical education. Services that can be requested using Med Ed ServiceNow include:

  • Video recording in our media studio
  • Video conference and AV support
  • Equipment loans
  • iPad/desktop/software troubleshooting
  • Curricular systems support (e.g., issues related to Canvas, New Innovations, Poll Everywhere)
