Ignacio M. Sánchez Prado
Ignacio M. Sánchez Prado is Jarvis Thurston and Mona van Duyn Professor in Humanities at Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on Mexican cultural institutions with a focus on literature, cinema and gastronomy. He is the author of seven books including Strategic Occidentalism. On Mexican Fiction, the Neoliberal Book Market and the Question of World Literature and Screening Neoliberalism. Transforming Mexican Cinema 1988-2012. The most recent of his fifteen edited collections is Mexican Literature as World Literature. His public writing has appeared in The Washington Post, Los Angeles Review of Books, Words Without Borders and other publications. He serves as editor of two book series: Latin American Cinema at SUNY Press and Critical Mexican Studies at Vanderbilt University Press. He served as the Kluge Chair for the Cultures of the South at the Library of Congress in the summer of 2021.

Mariana Mora
Mariana Mora is Associate Professor – Researcher at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies in Social Anthropology (CIESAS) in Mexico City. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from Stanford University. Her research focuses on struggles for justice against violence and the continued processes of colonization as part of State formation in Latin America and her scholarship is situated within critical race theories, feminist studies, decoloniality and the political.
Her recent scholarship centers on conceptualizing the political through expanded forms of care-work, healing and restorative senses of justice in contexts of patriarchal and racial forms of violence. She is part of the Decolonial Feminist Network in Mexico.
She is author of the book: Kuxlejal Politics: Indigenous Autonomy, Race and Decolonial Research in Zapatista Communities (2018).
Magali Lara
Artista Visual, gestora y maestra Trabaja desde los años setenta con obra relacionada con el cuerpo y las emociones a manera de ensayos visuales a través de temas como la identidad, lo femenino, la otredad y la conexión entre el adentro y el afuera. Con más de cuarenta años como artista y veinte como maestra, ha tenido varias exposiciones individuales en museos nacionales y en el extranjero, su obra está en varias colecciones importantes tanto nacionales como en otros países.
Estudió en la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas y fue parte del Grupo Março hasta 1983. Tuvo a su cargo la curaduría de varias exposiciones de libros de artista en los años ochenta que viajaron a los Estados Unidos. En los años noventa se fue a vivir a Cuernavaca,comenzó a trabajar en la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad Autónoma de Morelos,actualmente forma parte del Cuerpo Académico de MaPA, Maestría en producción de arte y participa como jurado en varias bienales, fomentos a la producción artística y asesora de planes de estudio en diversas instituciones de educación artística, así como Museos.
Algunos de los proyectos curatoriales en los que ha participado recientemente destacan: co-curaduría Publicaciones alternativas como espacios independientes, en el Museo del Chopo, UNAM, MX. Cuernavaca, Mor. MX. En 2021 y 2022 proyecto curatorial Bajo la misma falda; colaboraciones junto con Carmen Boullosa para el MUNAL, Objetos, libros e ideas; un homenaje a Armando Sáenz y ofrece una mirada histórica sobre las coincidencias y diferencias que existen en la producción editorial desde la perspectiva de lo que Ulises Carrión llamó El arte nuevo de hacer libros, Museo Carrillo Gil, CDMX, MX. y 270.0 x3 films producción sobre encargo para The Institute for Studies on Latin American Art (ISLAA), basado en el trabajo de Mónica Mayer Doña Lilia e Imperativo Coyolxauhqui de Naomi Rincón Gallardo, Productor ejecutivo y Director artístico Julio Grinblatt y gracias a Alexander Alberro.

Sara Poot-Herrera
Sara Poot-Herrera has a doctorate in Hispanic literature from El Colegio de México and is a professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of California in Santa Barbara. She is co-founder of the UC-Mexicanistas Association, an Intercampus Research Program of the University of California System, and one hundred percent Mexicanist and Mexican in California.
She has written over one hundred publications, including books, book chapters and papers. Her articles on Juan José Arreola, Carlos Fuentes, Juan Rulfo, Jaime Torres Bodet, Josefina Vicens, Carlos Fuentes, Elena Poniatowska, Sergio Pitol, José Emilio Pacheco, and Ignacio Solares, among others, have been published in academic and general-interest journals. She works above all on women writers, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Mexican Culture, and Theater (XVII and XVIII century), and on contemporary romance and short stories (XXI Century Literature). For her studies on Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, she was awarded the “Woman of the Year” (1997) distinction by the Mexican-American Opportunity Foundation (Los Angeles, California). She received the Literary Medal “Antonio Mediz Bolio” (Mérida, Yucatán, 2000) and the State Parliament Medal “Héctor Victoria Aguilar” (Mérida, Yucatán, 2008). In 2001, she was a member of the jury for the Juan Rulfo Latin-American and Caribbean Prize, awarded to the Mexican writer Juan García Ponce (Guadalajara International Book Fair).
