GE/Gannon MS Program in ME
We have 2 immediate openings in ME for semester starting on January 8,2012. Please read below.
Here is an excellent opportunity for graduating seniors in ME.
Gannon University in conjunction with GE Transportation has been
offering an unique program for MS in Mechanical Engineering since 1997.
The student works at GE Transportation located in Erie, PA on various
projects 19 hours per week during the semester and 40 hours per week
during the summer.
GE pays the graduate tuition, books, and fees for the student in
addition to a salary of $30,000 per year.
Each student works under the direction of a GE Transportation mentor
(manager/engineer) and a Gannon faculty mentor.
After student completes his MS in about 1.5 to 2 years, GE will make an
offer to the student, of course, based on their performance. There is no
obligation on either party after graduation.
So far more than 250 students have completed the program. Except for
2000 (when a large number of students graduated), 95% of the students
have been offered job after graduation by GE. More than 59% of them are
still working with GE.
*Currently we have 2 opening for students starting this spring.
*Interested students (Minimum GPA of 3.0) should submit an application
package preferably by email (aggarwal@gannon.edu
<mailto:aggarwal@gannon.edu>). The package should consist of**a letter
of intent (cover letter), a copy of their resume, names and addresses of
three references, details of all major design projects including those
performed during school, and a student copy of their transcript. The
details of the project should include* *project title and summary,
number of students involved, name of the project leader, your role in
the project, and the final outcome of the project. *
