Position:  Engineering Intern (2)

Title:  Jr. Process Engineer (Lean)

Purpose of the Position:  Intern project will be to identify improvement opportunities within our manufacturing processes and help design new LEAN processes to address these opportunities.

Scope and Magnitude: Intern will need to design and implement, at least one, LEAN process.

Position Functions:
1.  Work wit hcross functional teams to design, implement and/or improve cellular flow process.  (60%)
2.  Suggest process improvements on material and people flow/utilization.  (20%)
3.  Balance lines per production requirements. (20%)

Working Relationships:  Interns will work with production groups, engineering and tech support.

Knowledge and Skill Required:

Education:  Recent engineering graduate or 3rd year, possibly 2nd year, mechanical or industrial engineering student.

Experience (and other qualifications):
Strong computer skills.
Ability to be a team player and effectively collaborate and partner with different functional groups and customers.
Must be detail oriented with strong organization skills.
Experience with computer use specifically in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
