ITT’s Interconnect Solutions is an international manufacturer and supplier of connectors, including circular, rectangular, fiber optic, RF, power and high voltage, audio, PCMCIA, Compact Flash Card, enclosures, cable assemblies, I/O card kits and LAN components, and application specific custom solutions. The Interconnect Solutions portfolio includes the brands Cannon, VEAM and BIW.  Its products include: connectors and interconnects for the military, aerospace, industrial, oil and gas, medical and transportation markets.

We have an immediate opening for a Compliance Engineer.  This role will perform engineering coordination duties to ensure compliance with ICS Engineering policies and procedures, external standards and regulatory requirements.  This is a fulltime position and will be based in Santa Ana, Ca.

The successful candidate will

•Review Customer, Industry and Military Specifications and Drawings and saving files in Matrix and SAP;

•Coordinate cross functional analysis of specifications;

•Assure configuration management accuracy for Design Change Control Listed products;

•Support Export Control Classification;

•Evaluate materials for Environmental Compliance to RoHS, REACH, WEEE, NADCAP, DFARS, etc, requirements;

•Update documentation, drawings, part number assignments and lists, etc. using the Change Management process;

•Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

•Education: Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Materials)

•Experience: 0 to 3 years required 3 to 5 years preferred

•Computer: CAD 2D and 3D required ProE preferred, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), Outlook and Internet Explorer

•Knowledge: Practical application of engineering science and technology, design documentation, materials and manufacturing processes

•Skills: Attention to Detail, Analytical Thinking, Dependability, Initiative, Cooperation , Persistance, Independence, Organization and Flexibility.

•Abilities: Information ordering, mathematical and deductive reasoning, written and oral comprehension and communication

We have an immediate opening for a Jr. Engineer.  This role is responsible for supporting engineering tasks in design, development, analysis, product testing, customer support, and value engineering relative to production of new products and modification and improvement of existing interconnection products.  This is a fulltime position and will be based in Santa Ana, CA.

The successful candidate will partner with and assists senior Engineers to:

  • Create, change and/or check engineering drawings, models, parts lists, bills of materials, etc.
  • Review customers specification to assure compliance to internal and external specifications
  • Maintain electronic records and technical data bases containing internal and external specifications
  • Perform basic engineering computations to support product design and development activities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and computer generated reports
  • Prepare charts, graphs and diagrams to illustrate work flows and report data
  • Provide general technical assistance to the engineers in research, evaluation, test, etc. of alternate design solutions
  • Complete tasks according to departmental procedures
  • Support other engineering activities as assigned.

Minimum  Requirements

  • Bachelors’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Materials) with knowledge of mechanical design and drafting;  BSME preferred;
  • Requires  6 months CAD and business software (word processing, spreadsheet, data base);
  • Preferred: 1 year CAD and business software (word processing, spreadsheet, data base);
  • Knowledge of product design and development, materials (plastics, metals, elastomers and metal finishers) and manufacturing processes (machining, turning, injection molding, plating, product assembly and cable harness assembly;
  • Preferred: Spanish verbal fluency preferred.
