Memory and Decision Making Lab

The members of the Memory and Decision Laboratory (MADLAB) in the Department of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California, Irvine build models and do experiments covering a range of topics in higher-order cognition.

Some current and recent projects include:

  • Bayesian graphical modeling methods
  • Computational modeling of cognition
  • Wisdom of crowds
  • Risky decision making
  • Category learning
  • Causal reasoning
  • Topic modeling
  • Joint modeling of neural and behavioral data

If you’re interested in joining our lab and working toward a Ph.D., please visit the Cognitive Sciences Graduate Program page for more information about application requirements and deadlines.
