Freshman CHP-er and psychology major Sarah Stone is a vegan food blogger. While Sarah herself isn’t vegan, her blog and recipes are. In fact, all of her food photos (as seen here and in last quarter’s NAR) are of her vegan creations.
Check out her top tips for eating healthy while in college!
1. At dining halls, look at the nutritional menus and online to see which foods have an Eat Well symbol by them, and check out the labels on the foods by using the online menu for the dining hall.
2. If you shop by yourself, you can still buy healthy foods by finding sales, buying in bulk, or even buying frozen fruits and vegetables can be cheaper.
3. Don’t be afraid to cook for yourself. If you are busy most days, meal prepping is the way to go! Just cook your meals for the week on Sunday and have them ready when you need them.
