UCI Research faculty and staff –
Computing and Information Technologies (IT) play a critical and evolving role in University research and scholarly pursuits. Whether you consider yourself an expert or not, if you use IT in conducting research, we invite you to join us in discussing this important topic.
We invite you to join us in discussing this important topic at the UCI Research Cyberinfrastructure (RCI) symposium on January 27th in the CalIT2 auditorium. The symposium is sponsored by the UCI Research Cyberinfrastructure Vision Workgroup in conjunction with the UCI Data Sciences Initiative.
Faculty from each school will present and lead panel discussions exploring current and future needs for networking, computation, storage, staff services, training, and other technology areas in research. UCLA, UC Berkeley, Amazon, Microsoft, Dell and UCI staff will present on additional research IT topics. The day will conclude with a presentation and round table discussion regarding UCI’s future vision for Research Cyberinfrastructure.
Come for any or all of the day’s events and contribute to our planning process!
PANEL LEADERS: Ali Mortazavi, Suzanne Sandmeyer (Biology and Medicine), Said Elghobashi, Filipp Furche (Engineering and Physical Sciences), John Crawford and David Theo Goldberg (Arts and Humanities), Bryan Sykes and John Hipp (Social Science, Social Ecology, Business, Education, and Law)
