. . . This is the UC Irvine Mobile Rocket and Fab Lab 🙂

Through a partnership between the OC STEM Initiative, the Samueli Foundation, University of California, Irvine, and the Orange County Department of Education, the UCI Mobile Rocket and Fab Lab is an initiative by which a mobile makerspace is brought directly to learners to increase awareness of digital making and fabrication. Several demonstrations and hands-on activities are set up on-board the lab to provide learners with a versatile space for experimentation and learning with the use of 3D printers, laser cutters, and Raspberry Pi computers. By providing access to, and knowledge of, STEM related disciplines to learners of all ages, including educators, we aim to empower the next generation to be active creators of technology, not just passive consumers.
