Apple has released an update to the Safari web browser, which fixes a large number of issues including potential unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution when visiting a malicious web site.

Safari 5.1.7 is available for Mac OS X v10.7.4, Mac OS X Server v10.7.4, Mac OS X v10.6.8, Mac OS X Server v10.6.8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP SP2 or later.

(Note that Safari may have been installed on some Windows installations with an iTunes installation or update.)
