Congratulations to our Veteran Travel Team for their performance at the NMUN-DC Conference! Our team came away with two individual Outstanding Delegation awards, two Research Awards, and the Distinguished Delegation award for the entire team!

Team Info

The Model United Nations Travel Team is UCI MUN’s competitive debate team, which travels to domestic and international conferences each academic year. While previous MUN experience may be helpful, it is not required to join! Travel Team members attend weekly meetings to grow their knowledge of parliamentary procedure, sharpen their debate skills, and discuss global affairs. The Travel Team experience gives students the chance to gain well-rounded knowledge of global affairs through academic debates dedicated to finding solutions to the world’s most pressing issues. At MUN conferences, these debates take the form of simulations of actual United Nations committees with both present and historical topics to discuss, similarly to how the real United Nations develops concrete and decisive solutions for improving international security, relations, and diplomacy. This unit has become a renowned and highly accomplished part of MUN, winning various accolades at conferences such as Harvard World MUN and Seattle NWMUN and attending competitive conferences across the country, from Long Beach to Washington DC, New York, and Seattle.
