Epsilon started off as UCI’s 2011 FSAE internal combustion (IC) car but was later converted into a fully-electric vehicle as part of another year’s project. Its efficiency was one of the best UCI has produced to date, and it was awarded the FSAE Fuel Efficiency Award in 2011 for that success.

Epsilon’s specs from its time as an IC vehicle:

  • 600cc Yamaha R6 inline four-cylinder engine (120HP)
  • 6-speed sequential manual transmission
  • Torsen limited-slip differential
  • Fully-independent front and rear push rod suspension
  • 0-60 mph in 4.5s
  • Winner of the 2011 FSAE Fuel Efficiency Award
