Hi! I was a blogger my freshman year and I was undecided just like you! I am now a junior and going to be a senior in three weeks! I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by. I have done so many things since my freshman year, like study abroad, have an internship, join and leave clubs, hold leadership positions, train others to inherit my position, and join a sorority (Kappa Kappa Gamma). There were many things I never thought I would do, but did them anyways! And the opportunities are endless. It’s just up to you to choose your own path.

I have declared a Business Economics major and completing the Accounting minor. It took me 2 years to decide, but I am happy with my decision. I am almost done with my major and minor, and I am looking forward to getting a job in a Big 4 accounting firm. I am have learned so many things in college, both academically and personally. I have grown tremendously.

For my senior year, I will be the president of the SAGE Scholars program, enter the second year of my internship, and prepare myself to enter the “real world” equipped with a “grown up” job.

You should make the best of your college years, but also know that there is much more to look forward to after college. If you take anything from my message, take this quote:

“Failing to plan, is planning to fail.”

Always think ahead but live the moment. For everything in your life, whether it be classes, your major, career, think ahead!

Your friend,

Melissa
