Housing Assistants have joint responsibility to provide coverage for emergency maintenance and resident relations concerns that occur during the evenings and weekends. Additionally, Housing Assistants are responsible for assisting with the coordination of events and programs held in Verano Place. Compensation: $529.23 biweekly

Verano Place Commons
Those who are offered and accept HA positions should expect to begin their contract on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at which time they will commence 80 hours of training prior to the start of Fall classes. The position contract will end on June 30, 2017.
Complete All HA Application Materials
The online application is now live. The priority deadline is August 15, 2016, at which time application review will begin. We can only guarantee review of applications received on or before that date.
There are three parts to the Housing Assistant Application and all are required:
Submit On-line Application.
Have each of two (preferably three) references submit a Recommendation Form on your behalf: One reference needs to be from a work or volunteer experience (have them use the HA Recommendation Form 2016-2017 – Professional Reference), and at least one (preferably two) needs to be a member of the Verano Place community (have them use the HA Recommendation Form 2016-2017 – Community Reference).
Participate in the Individual Interview Process
On August 16, 2016, selected candidates will receive an email invitation to interview. Interviews will last approximately 20 minutes and will be held on August 24 and August 25.
Receive a Notification Email
On August 26, 2016, candidates who completed an interview will be notified of their status in the process: They will receive an employment offer or will be notified that no position is available for them at this time.
Submit Your HA Acceptance Form
Applicants offered a position as a Verano Place Housing Assistant for the 2016-2017 academic year must indicate whether or not they will accept the offer by submitting an HA Acceptance Form by Tuesday, August 30, 2016.
Participate in HA Training
Successful candidates who accept the position need to be available to complete the on-boarding process and participate in HA Training. Training will be a total of 80 hours between September 6 and September 20. New hires will need to complete this training to retain their position and be prepared for the variety of situations they may encounter on the job.
