Incident / Location: Suspicious Person / Vista Del Campo Student Housing
UCI Police Department has received a report of a suspicious person seen peeping into an apartment window around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, in the Vista Del Campo student housing community. The resident of the apartment reported that an unknown subject knocked and rang the doorbell of the apartment and the resident decided not to answer the door. A neighbor then reported seeing a male subject approach a window of the same apartment who attempted to look through an opening in the blinds for approximately 30 seconds. The male subject then ran towards the rear parking lot of the building and out of sight.
The suspicious person is described as a white male, in his early 20’s, wearing a white short sleeve baggy t-shirt, blue colored basketball shorts with white stripes on the side, short brown or black colored hair, about 5’11” and 155 pounds.
Immediately report all suspicious persons, vehicles and activities to the UCI Police Department at (949) 824-5223. Ensure that all doors, windows and desks are locked. Do not prop open doors. Immediately report inoperable locks and latches to the appropriate maintenance personnel. Never leave purses, wallets, electronics or other valuables in plain sight. If you feel you are being followed, cross the street, yell, run and look for a well-lit area or occupied building and dial 9-1-1.
