Andrew Hamann is a PhD student in Informatics at the University of California, Irvine. He is advised by Dr. Paul Dourish. Andrew’s research is centered on data rhetoric and collective data practices, particularly as data serve competing purposes within public planning, policy, and activism. His current research explores the narratives within non-profit-made data visualizations in service of equitable transit-oriented development.
Andrew is affiliated with the Laboratory for Ubiquitous Computing and Interaction (LUCI), the Evoke Lab and Studio, and the Steckler Center for Responsible, Ethical, and Accessible Technology (CREATE)
