I’m a PhD student in computer engineering at UC Irvine. My research interests are computational storage devices (CSDs) and the distribution of neural network training over such devices. I work as a software intern at the NGD systems, a startup in Orange county that specializes in the development of storage systems. At NGD systems, we develop solid state drives with embedded processors. It enables users to do in-storage processing (ISP) which eliminates the need to move data in and out of the storage systems, increases the time and energy efficiency and guarantees the security aspects of the data.
I got my bachelor in electrical engineering form the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. In 2016, I moved to Irvine, California for graduate studies. I got my masters in computer engineering at the UC Irvine, where I worked on the design and development of embedded systems and wearable devices.
