First, take a look at Louise Brigham’s Box Furniture: How to Make 100 Useful Articles for the Home. (Antoinette LaFarge came to talk to us about Lousie Brigham’s work on February 9. Thanks Antoinette!)
Select a Box Furniture design that you enjoy. As accurately as you possibly can, based on Brigham’s drawings and instructions, make a Rhino model of the design. In your model create two copies: one fully assembled, and one laid out flat as a kit of parts.
We will be making use of both parts of the model. For now:
- Post a rendering of both versions of your model to the blog. Use the Project Two, Part One category for this post.
- Upload an STL version of your assembled model to EEE. We will be 3D printing some of these for fun. Note that in order for your STL to be printable, it will need to be the union of the kit of parts.
Everything is due at 11:55PM on Monday, February 15.
