The University of California, Irvine, one of the leading Universities worldwide, is a public institution that was founded in 1965. The Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences are equipped with excellent facilities and state-of-the-art computational infrastructure. The Schools’ faculty members are scholars and leaders in their disciplines and have achieved worldwide honors and recognition for their pioneering research and dedicated teaching.
ASPIRE (Access Summer Program to Inspire Recruit and Enrich) leverages the Schools’ facilities and participating faculty for a 1-week Engineering and Computer Science Course over the summer period. Working in classrooms university facilities, students learn skills across the broad spectrum of engineering and computer science disciplines. Supervised by faculty and taught by experienced staff, and graduate mentors, the program takes students through projects tailored for high school students with hands on design and programming activities.
