Name: Assam Ismail Bio: My name is Assam Ismail and I am seventeen years old. I have lived in California for roughly ten years. I am interested in learning more about computers and felt UCI Aspire will be a great experience which will help me reach my career goal.
	Name: Iliya Shofman Bio: Hello, I am Iliya Shofman. I am very passionate about engineering, and spend a lot of time studying key engineering concepts and building projects. For example, I have constructed a steam-engine car, a radius-adjustable omni-wheel, and much other intricate projects which demonstrate my technical knowledge and allow me to exercise problem solving in an engineering context. I am excited to further my knowledge in engineering and expand my horizons into computer science.
Name: Jonghyun Lee Bio: I was born and raised in Korea. My family moved to the States in 2014. My preferred career/major is chemical or aerospace engineering. I participated in many science/math affiliated programs, seminars, and classes to confirm my interest, and I hope this program contributes to it.
	Name: Londyn Adams Bio: Hello my name is Londyn Adams. I am very excited to be in this program this summer. I love to play volleyball and cook. When I become older my dream job is to become a neonatal nurse. I love the hospital environment and trying to find solutions to problems in a hectic environment such as the NICU. I can’t wait for the ASPIRE team to teach me new ways that computer science can help in the medical field and my future.
Name: Onyexx Chukwumerije Bio: My name is Onyexx Chuwkumerije. My parents were initially from Nigeria, and moved to the United States where I was later born. I lived in New Jersey for first 5 years of my life, and moved to Irvine, California in the beginning of kindergarten. I have always had a fascination with technology, and would love to learn more about intricacies of how things work, and one day hope to gain an understanding of the more advanced technologies I see adults working with. I think outside the box naturally, and if I know the background and building blocks of a topic or idea, I can think of new and innovative ways to go about creating or changing it. Amazing opportunities like the ASPIRE program are exactly what I need to gain experience and eventually help the world in the future.
	Name: Rafael Arias Torres Bio: Rafael Arias Torres is a soon-to-be junior in high school currently attending Newport Harbor in Newport Beach, California. Being a child of Mexican immigrants has taught him the importance of achieving a higher education to have a sustainable future. He is motivated by his siblings who listened to their parents and graduated from a university. Through the guidance of teachers, family, and friends, he plans to attend a four year university and major in computer science once he finishes high school. Once with his career in motion, he plans to pay for his parent’s living expenses just like they did to him.
Name: Wendy Nawa Bio: Wendy was born in Tokyo, then moved to Hawaii, then to California. As a small child, along with her love for sports and books, she also sparked an interest in building and designing, which eventually led to her passion for engineering. She is currently a sophomore at Woodbridge High School, where she hopes to attend a university with a major in aerospace engineering in the future.
	Name: David Bonilla Bio: Hi my name is David Bonilla, I am a weird, nerdy, and geeky Flowerchild from Los Angeles. My taste in music is odd just like me and I let people walk across my back to get where they belong. Be yourself. Free yourself.
Name: Javon Chambers Bio: My name is Javon Chambers, and I will be a rising senior at John Marshall High School. I live in Los Angeles, California and have a younger brother and a younger sister. I play for the varsity basketball team at my school and I enjoy gaming.
	Name: Jessica Lopez Bio: My name is Jessica Lopez. I am an incoming senior at Godinez High School. I am very athletic and have been in Cross-country, Soccer, and Track and Field for three years. I love math. I am considering majoring in construction engineering. In my free time, I enjoy watching superhero shows or listening to music like Coldplay.
Name: Kendrae Fleming Bio: My name is Kendrae Fleming and I am a 16 year old. I am funny, athletic, and pretty smart. I am interested in studying Computer Science and Engineering in college.
	Name: Michelle Boulos Bio: Michelle is a senior at Riverside Poly High School. She is a member of the school’s mock trial team and is an editor on the school’s newspaper, The Poly Spotlight. She also serves as a student member of her school district’s Board of Education. When she isn’t working out calculus problems, she is probably shopping. Michelle hopes to discover and learn more about the realm of engineering to expand her horizons when she majors in electrical or mechanical engineering in college.
Name: Myles Bailey Bio: My name is Myles bailey and I’m from Columbus, Ohio. I currently live with my mom, dad, and my little sister. I’m going to be a senior at the Eastland Career Center in Groveport, Ohio studying Programming and Software Development. I aspire to be a entrepreneur, but I would also like to use my entrepreneurial ideas to make a education based company. My top college choices so far are Ohio State University, Ohio University, Dayton university, and Denison University. I would like to major in business and minor in computer science. My ultimate goal for the future is to have my own business that uses technology and education to make the world a better place.
	Name: Tina Kong Bio: I am going to be a senior at Leland High School in the fall. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, playing music, binge-watching Netflix shows, and tutoring. I am excited to learn more about computer science and engineering and meet like-minded people through ASPIRE.
Name: Kevin Mazo Bio: I was born and raised in Orange County, CA. I attend El Toro High School and plan on becoming a neuroscientist in the future. I’m am interested in using computer science to develop a model of the brain (as well as AI) and am interested in innovation.
	Name: Sergio Roman Bio: My name is Sergio Roman, I am 17 years old. I have two younger sisters, Crystal and Britney. I attend Godinez Fundamental High School, and form part of the marching band. I have been playing the alto-saxophone since 6th grade. My favorite subject in school is mathematics and science, I form part of numerous clubs such as MESA, Decathlon, Pink Ribbon Club, NHS, etc. In my spare time I like to play video games (FIFA 17) and also stay active by riding my bicycle around town. My favorite thing to do after a long day of work, is lay down on my bed and take a nap.
