UC, a national leader in sustainability, has pledged to become carbon neutral by 2025, becoming the first major university to accomplish this achievement. In solidarity with the UC Carbon Neutrality Initiative (CNI), the 2022 Visual Studies Graduate Conference addresses its social cost of carbon by contributing to Unite to Light, a UC-initiated non-profit project that provides low-cost solar light and power to those without electricity across the globe.
