Dr. Forde is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist, co-founder of a venture capital firm, and managing director of a research institution. At Diverse Rx, Gareth oversees the development and implementation of clinical research studies that focus on underrepresented populations. This involves working closely with research teams to design studies that are inclusive and representative of the diverse communities the organization aims to serve. He works with healthcare providers and community organizations to engage and educate patients about the importance of participating in clinical research. By building strong partnerships with these stakeholders, he can ensure that studies are reaching those who stand to benefit the most. He says “I am thrilled to be part of a company that is making a real difference in the lives of those who have been historically marginalized in the healthcare system.”

Dr. Griffith is a Cardiac & Thoracic Surgeon with a focus on complex coronary, valve, and thoracic aortic surgery. In addition to his clinical experience, Patrick is engaged in venture capital, has been involved in several start-ups, and currently serves as a strategic advisor for Outstanding Foods, Inc. He is a member of the Merage School’s Dean’s Advisory Board as well as an Advisory Board Member at the Beall Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Dr. Candice Taylor Lucas is a general pediatrician and Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor at the UCI School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics. She is also Associate Program Director for the UCI/Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) Pediatric Residency Program, Co-Director for the UCI School of Medicine’s mission-based Program In Medical Education, Leadership Education to Advance Diversity – African, Black, and Caribbean (PRIME LEAD-ABC), and faculty affiliated with the UCI Pediatric Exercise and Genomics Research Center (PERC) and Center for Environmental Health Disparities (CEHDR).
She completed her undergraduate training at UCLA with a major in physiological science and minor in gerontology, graduate training in the UCLA School of Public Health with a focus on community health sciences, and medical school at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. She returned to UCLA for pediatric residency training and served as a chief resident. Subsequently, she went to the New York University School of Medicine and Bellevue Hospital Center to complete an academic general pediatric fellowship with a focus in primary care research and clinical investigation.

This insight enables him to strategically bridge the gap between business and personal wealth management goals in an effort to help define and execute the legacies of the clients he serves.

Ian O. Williamson was appointed dean of The UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business on January 1, 2021. Prior to joining the Merage School, he served as pro vice-chancellor and dean of commerce at the Wellington School of Business and Government at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
Williamson received his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor’s degree in business from Miami University. He has served as a faculty member at Melbourne Business School, Rutgers Business School, the Zurich Institute of Business Education, the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and Institut Teknologi Bandung.
Williamson is a globally recognized expert in the area of human resource management. His research examines the impact of “talent pipelines” on organizational and community outcomes. Williamson has assisted executives in over 20 countries across six continents enhance firm operational and financial outcomes, improve talent recruitment and retention, enhance firm innovation and understand the impact of social issues on firm outcomes.
