
Brain Development Study:
Studying differences in the brain development of teens ages 13 – 17 who are struggling with depression and/or a history of abuse.
Cardiovascular (“CVD”) Study:
Identifying biological, behavioral, psychological and social factors contributing to racial/ethnic differences in early vascular aging and cardiovascular health among African American/Black, Hispanic/Latina, and Non-Hispanic White females between the ages of 18 and 28.


Early Life Adversity Study:
Observing and identifying risk and protective factors for alcohol and drug use in teens 12-15 who have experienced early life adversity.
Eating Patterns & Activity Study:
Examining how social and biological stress contribute to eating patterns, activity, and weight in girls ages 13-17.


Life Skills Study:
Learning about brain changes in response to a family-based intervention which promotes a positive future for Black and African American youth ages 11 – 14.
