The STARS mentorship program pairs students from disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing a career within healthcare or biomedical science, with a student from UCI on a similar track. Our intention with the STARS program is primarily to provide students with the tools they require to succeed in the college application process. However, STARS also aims to prepare students for success in college, to maintain momentum, and ensure the completion of a degree program.
