A recent Canvas update enabled the EEE Team to build a tool for instructors that imports Student IDs into the Canvas gradebook. Here’s how to use it:
- In your Canvas course space, open the Grades tool.
- In the upper right, click the “Load Student ID #s” button.
- You should see a success message; press “Go back to my Canvas course space” to return to your gradebook and confirm the student ID numbers are now present.
Early in the Canvas transition we began to hear about the challenges presented by the lack of student ID numbers in the Canvas gradebook.
