In Fall 2018, the EEE team surveyed instructors to learn more about third party technology use, needs, and priorities for Canvas integration. The following summarizes related outcomes:
New Integrations
Integration with Pearson applications was one of the top requests and I am happy to report that this integration is now available alongside integrations from other publishers, Cengage, Macmillan, and McGraw-Hill.
Integrations currently under review
We are currently actively working to review and, if all goes well, integrate Badgr, Examity, Piazza, WileyPlus, and Zoom
Integrations up next for review
As we conclude current reviews, we will be following up on additional requests for integrations with (alphabetic order) Acadly, Kahoot, LabArchives ELN, Learning Catalytics, Loom, Packback, PitchVantage, SurveyMonkey, and WhatsApp.
Integrations that we cannot move forward at this time
There were several requests for integration with applications that we have learned do not currently offer Canvas integration. We’ve made contact with the vendors, Qualtrics and Quizlet, and will revisit these requests when and if the vendors add this capability.
We are also unable to move ahead with VoiceThread at this time because the integration is only available with a paid campus contractual agreement.
