The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the University of California, Irvine is seeking applicants for a full-time open rank faculty position. The department is interested in candidates with a research program in any area of environmental and occupational health, including but not limited to environmental or occupational epidemiology, exposure science, intervention science, climate change and health, and environmental health disparities. We especially encourage applicants with innovative new perspectives and transdisciplinary research approaches, creating opportunities for collaborative research and training within our department, with the other departments in our emerging School of Population and Public Health, with the other schools within the College of Health Sciences (Medicine, Nursing, Pharmaceutical Sciences), or with any of the various research centers at our campus. UC Irvine is committed to increasing diversity and inclusion of underrepresented groups; the applicant should describe how their current work demonstrates commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, or how they will contribute to it in the future. Successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program, participate in departmental teaching and mentoring for undergraduate and graduate students, and provide professional service to the program, the university, and the community.
