Combined SPECT & MR Imaging (MR-SPECT)
Through the use of CZT-based radiation detectors and specialized materials and shielding techniques, we are developing MR-compatible SPECT imaging systems for applications in both small animals and humans. Our team was the first to publish simultaneously acquired SPECT and MR images in vivo using our small-animal system.
Novel RF Coil Designs
We are actively researching a variety of RF coil designs, including novel decoupling of array coils, multinuclear coils, and specialized coils taylored for multimodality imaging.
Small-Animal MRI
We are open to colaborating in all aspects of small-animal MRI research.

The magnetic fields geneated by appiled currents can be measured by MRI and used to reconstruct the internal electrical impedance distrbution. Our center was the first to publish in vivo MREIT images for application in cancer diagnosis.
