Miramar Kardouh was born and raised in Syria and moved to the United States in September 2012. She is currently working towards a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with intentions of graduating in Fall 2016 and then entering medical school. She hopes that her research experience will allow her to examine the idea of pursuing an MD/PhD degree in the future. In January 2016, Miramar entered the Chaput lab to study protein structures and other polymers, such as DNA and RNA. She departed from the Chaput lab in March 2017, when she graduated; she intends to apply to medical school and pursue a career in medicine. During her free time, she enjoys learning languages, reading, and listening to music. [/ezcol_3quarter_end][ezcol_1quarter]
