Graduate Division: Internal Endowed Fellowships – Due Nov 23

Graduate Division is pleased to invite applications for six internal endowed fellowships. All Ph.D. studentswho meet the specific fellowship criteria may apply. A brief summary of each fellowship is provided below. Please refer to the calls for applications and application forms for complete eligibility and application information; these are linked below and also available here.

All application materials are due to Garrett Yoshitomi (gyoshito@uci.edu) by November 23rd at 5pm. (Note: This is earlier than Graduate Division’s stated deadline.) Your advisor can also send their letter of support directly to Garrett.

Brython Davis Fellowship

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens, and one of the applicant’s parents must be a current member or veteran of the U.S. Navy or Marine Corps.
  • Provides resident fees and a stipend of $6,000 in Spring Quarter 2021

Gordon Hein Scholarship

  • Applicants must be blind or legally blind, as certified by the Disability Services Center.
  • Provides resident fees and a stipend of $6,000 in Spring Quarter 2021

James Harvey Scholar

  • Applicants must be in their final year of study, researching male or female homosexuality.
  • Provides resident fees and a stipend of $6,000 in Spring Quarter 2021

La Verne Noyes Fellowship

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens and descendants of a U.S. Army or Navy World War I veteran.
  • Provides a stipend of $3,000 in Spring Quarter 2021

Miguel Velez Scholarship

  • Applicants must be citizens and residents of a Latin American country, with preference given to citizens of Colombia.  Students from a Latin American Country who have AB540 status are also eligible to apply.
  • Provides resident fees and a stipend of $6,000 in Spring Quarter 2021

Otto W. Shaler Scholarship

  • Applicants must be international students who have financial need.
