SACNAS at UCI – Nuestra Historia (Our Story) Seminar Series: Dr. Joseph Heras
The SACNAS Chapter at UCI is excited to present a new seminar series which highlights diverse people’s journey through academia and their careers in STEM. This seminar series will serve not as a research seminar but as a seminar to empower BIPOC voices in STEM and create a space where these stories can be shared.
Please join us during the inaugural seminar as we welcome Professor Joseph Heras to share his story with us on November 20 at 2PM. See registration form below:

Thank you to all who came to our November meeting. Here is a summary of what we discussed.
Outreach/Mentorship Opportunities
We are planning to initiate a new mentorship program for underrepresented communities in STEM. Our initial goal will be to connect 100 scientists (mentors) with 100 students (from local high schools and community colleges). The opportunity is open for everyone in the Chemistry department. More details to follow in the next few weeks. If you are interested, please be on the lookout for follow-up emails from ISP in the upcoming weeks.
