ACS Bridge Program

The UC Irvine Chemistry department was recently selected to be an ACS Bridge Partner. Graduate students from underrepresented racial and ethnic (UR) groups are eligible to apply for Travel and Career Development Awards. These awards can be used to support travel to a national meeting or for a professional development workshop. Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from underrepresented racial and ethnic (UR) groups are also eligible to apply for the ACS Career Kickstarter workshop from Nov 12 – 14, 2021. Spring Quarter 2021 Enrollment

Please make sure to enroll in classes for spring quarter. You must be enrolled in 12 units by Monday, March 15th. Do not wait until the last minute to enroll. If you are not enrolled, your fees will not credit to your account and you will have to pay a $50 late fee.

Spring TAs: Please don’t forget to pay your $161.21 student services fee by March 15th in your ZotAccount.

Winter Quarter Enrollment Reminder

Please enroll in classes for Winter quarter. You must be enrolled in 12 units by Monday, December 16th.

First years: Please enroll in graduate classes as soon as possible. We are anticipating some classes may need to be moved to larger classrooms and the earlier we know which classes need additional space the sooner we can request larger rooms.

Do not wait until the last minute to enroll. If you are not enrolled, your fees will not credit to your account and there is a $50 late fee you will be responsible for. Look carefully at your Zotbill to make sure you do not have any outstanding charges and/or a financial hold. If there are outstanding charges on your account your fee payment will not credit.

UCI’s New Payroll System (UC Path)

The Chemistry Graduate Student Funding and Fee Information page (https://www.chem.uci.edu/funding) has been updated to include information about UCPath, UCI’s new payroll system. UC Path will replace At Your Service (https://atyourserviceonline.ucop.edu/) in January 2020. If you do not currently use direct deposit please enroll by 11/14/19. If you do not sign up for direct deposit paychecks will be mailed to the home address on file. I would encourage all students to login to at your service by 12/1/19 and make sure their home address on file is correct to ensure a seamless transition.
