Are you looking to study abroad or go to grad school and were considering applying for a scholarship?
If you’re a member of the class of 2008 or 2009 with a 3.7 or higher GPA (3.5+ for Fulbright) and outstanding leadership skills, you could qualify for a scholarship to pursue a graduate or second bachelor’s degree at one of the world’s most prestigious universities.
Scholarship recipients study at the University of Oxford (Rhodes Scholarship), the University of Cambridge (Gates Scholarship or Churchill Scholarship), any British university (Marshall Scholarship), any university in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland (Mitchell Scholarship), or all over the world (Fulbright Fellowship). These scholarships require university endorsement and the Scholarship Opportunities Program (SOP) runs the campus process of evaluating and endorsing applicants.
If this sounds right for you, please visit http://www.scholars.uci.edu/preapplication.aspx and fill out a pre-application form. You will have to submit a current resume/CV that you will be able to upload directly onto the application. The pre-application is due electronically to the SOP Office by 4:00 PM on MAY 1.
If you have any questions about these scholarships, please feel free to visit the SOP Office at 1200 Student Services II (Same as the Honors Office), or email rharris@uci.edu.
