The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) recognizes high-achieving college students throughout the U.S. Based on the pillars of scholarship, leadership, and service, the organization seeks to develop well-rounded scholars who excel not only academically but personally and professionally as well.
Here at NSCS UCI, our general meetings relate to professional development and consist of workshops on topics such as resume writing, interview techniques, and how to become involved in undergraduate research. Along with workshops, we also invite guest speakers to general meetings to share their experiences and advice with members. Previous guest speakers include Robert Terrell, one of the architects of Disney World, and John Jolliffe, senior advisor of Jim Carrey’s Better U Foundation. Our chapter regularly participates in community service events such as Mobile Food Pantry, Shadetree, and Someone Cares Soup Kitchen. Lastly, our members have access to unique scholarships, internships, and employment opportunities.
Spring quarter general meetings are every Wednesday at 7 PM in SST 120. We encourage you to attend a meeting and see what we have to offer!
