- MUSIC 162: Masterworks Chorale. The class is open to all (no audition required) and will focus on the preparation, rehearsal, and performance of one of the great masterworks of the choral repertoire, Franz Schubert’s Mass in G Major. All are welcome, no prior singing experience is necessary. This is a wonderful opportunity to build individual musicianship skills, learn basic vocal technique, and develop ensemble awareness. The class meets on TuTh 12:30-1:50pm, AITR 196. Choir = Community!
- Economics 155H: Current Issues in Political Economy. (MW 2-3:20) The course is open to all Honors students (not just economics majors) who have taken one of the following courses: Econ 20A, Econ 20B, or Econ/IS13. Political Economy seeks to understand the interaction of economics and politics. The course will examine topics such as the following: the role of government in the economy; lobbying and money in politics; causes of the Great Recession; the crisis of the Eurozone; regulation of industry and finance; what does private equity do?; globalization’s impact on democracy.
