With the general election just around the corner, our campus is delighted with this opportunity to engage students in active citizenship. The PBK Society’s Key into Public Service undergraduate scholarship program connects promising arts and sciences students with opportunities in public service. This program can provide talented UCI students with a scholarship opportunity to underscore the importance of liberal arts and sciences expertise within our nation.
Beginning on November 2, the PBK Society will invite applications from well-rounded liberal arts and sciences students attending a chapter institution who possess an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher with an anticipated graduation date of December 2021 through Spring 2023. Characteristics of ideal recipients include intellectual curiosity, interdisciplinary breadth and depth of arts and sciences coursework, leadership propensity, and service to others. Successful applicants will receive a $5,000 scholarship and will participate in a required virtual convening featuring career training and mentoring opportunities.
