Attention CHP Transfer Students!
First-Year Transfer Students: Come to the MANDATORY winter CHP Transfer Workshop on Monday, Jan. 29 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. OR Tuesday, Jan. 30 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in Student Services II, room 1010. Attendance is REQUIRED. The workshop will cover how to start research, the honors thesis, and campus resources; it will provide you the opportunity to reconnect with fellow CHP students. A light dinner will be served. Please sign up for one of the MANDATORY Workshops online by Wednesday, Jan. 24.
Continuing Transfer Students: We need you to volunteer for this year’s Winter CHP Transfer Workshop! First-year transfer students will appreciate hearing your experiences of and insights into conducting research (over a light dinner). Volunteers are needed to be on a panel during the last part of the workshop: 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29 and/or Tuesday, Jan. 30. CHP PAA Winter 2018 Week 2 Office Hours
Please make note of the following PAA Office Hour changes for Week 2:
- Daria will be holding office hours in Loma on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Her winter quarter hours are changing to Mondays 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Wednesdays 1:00-4:00 p.m. and Fridays 3:00-4:00 p.m.
- Jacob will be holding additional office hours in the CHP Office on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
- Fernando will be holding office hours in Arroyo on Thursday, Jan. 18, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
- Rosie will be holding office hours in the Shire on Thursday, Jan. 18, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Week 5 Update: The tables have turned! As of Week 4, Loma is now in the lead with 27 swipes, followed closely by the Shire with 21 swipes and Arroyo with 19 swipes. There is just one week left to claim victory for your hall, so stop by the Locus and swipe in! One point will be awarded per visit per hall resident who swipes in until 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
Week 4 Update: As of Week 3, the Shire is in the lead with 13 swipes, followed by Arroyo at 10 swipes, and Loma with 4 swipes. Remember that every swipe in to the Locus by a resident of these halls during weeks 1-5 will earn a point for that hall. There are two weeks left, so swipe in and earn that (pizza) dough!
Residents of Loma, Arroyo, and The Shire who swipe in to the Locus during weeks 1-5 will earn a point for their hall. At the end of week 5, the hall with the most points will receive a pizza party! Our card reader is fixed so don’t forget to bring your ID card with you and swipe in EVERY TIME you enter The Locus or the CHP Office! Winners will be announced in CHP-News.
