UCI presents a conversation with Sylvia Mendez, civil rights activist and oldest daughter of Gonzalo & Felicitas Mendez, plaintiffs in the landmark Mendez v. Westminster School District (1947), which ended school segregation in California and was a precursor to Brown V. Board of Education (1954). Join Ms. Mendez for a conversation at the Cross-Cultural Center, Dr. Joseph White Room, next Tuesday, April 26, from 12:00-1:00pm.
