“I” on Leadership

SPECIAL WORKSHOP: “I” on Leadership – Skills for Academia, Industry and Beyond with Gregory S. Campbell on Wednesday, February 8th at noon in the Graduate Resource Center (GRC)

The ability to communicate, listen, interpret and lead are necessary for many junctures in society such as academia, industry and other opportunities. Gregory S. Campbell will help graduate students and post-docs understand how the foundations of leadership play an active role in their professional development. Attendees will learn to grow their leadership ability and apply this key attribute to their scholarly endeavors.

Gregory S. Campbell is a management and leadership consultant. As a part of his practice, Mr. Campbell provides leadership coaching to a number of high profile executives, as well as CEOs, COOs, and university presidents. His focus is on personal and professional growth. Additionally, he assists with strategic thinking and ethical development.

Light refreshments will be served.

Attention First-Year Transfer Students

How has the transition from your community college to UCI been going so far? Come to “t-CHPers” Successful Transition Workshop and share your stories. Mark your calendar and plan to attend ONE of the following meetings (NOTE – Dates and times have changed since orientation):

Oct. 19: 6:00-8:00 p.m. OR

Oct. 24: 5:00-7:00 p.m.

These workshops are MANDATORY for first-year CHP transfer students, and will also cover course planning, meeting faculty, and campus resources. We’ll see you soon!

4-Year Plan Workshops

Attention all freshmen and new students! As a CHP student, you are required to file a course plan with the Honors Office, and at these workshops we will show you how! Attendance at one of these two workshops is MANDATORY. Please email the PAAs at CHPpaa@uci.edu with any questions you may have.

Thursday (1/20) from 5:30-7:30pm in Middle Earth (Bucklebury)
Monday (1/31) from 6:30-8:30pm in Mesa Court (Community Center MPR)

CHP Transfer Students

If you are a new CHP Transfer Guarantee student, don’t forget to come to one of the Fall Transfer Workshops (in 1010 SS2 on Oct. 19 and 20 at 6pm). If you have already scheduled an individual counseling appointment with an honors advisor, you do not need to attend a workshop. If you cannot attend one of the workshops, you need to call (949) 824-5461 to set up an individual meeting before week 6.
